Jacksonville Election Day: Polls Open Reminder

The polls are open today from 7 in the morning to 7 in the evening, and you must vote at your assigned polling place. Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland issued that reminder to Jacksonville voters as Election Day begins. The notice also lists acceptable forms of identification and other voting instructions, so bring your identification and follow the steps at your precinct to make sure your ballot is counted. Turning to statewide measures, News Four JAX explains Florida voters face three amendments on this year's ballot. It summarizes what a yes or no vote would do so Duval voters can weigh their options. And if you're following turnout, FloridaPolitics reports Duval early voting tops 35 percent. Unofficial figures show 232,465 ballots cast so far.
