# Local Desk — verified local news, machine-checkable

> A daily local news bulletin service whose every edition is independently verifiable: per-story citations with retained sources, automated quality review, signed C2PA content credentials when signing succeeds (each edition's facts and passport say whether it has one), a tamper-evident audit chain, an externally timestamped evidence passport, and a public seal anyone can recompute in a browser or with the included verify tool.

## Notes

- Editions are produced by an autonomous pipeline: hosted-search research with retained citations, independent factual/date/locality verification, editorial approval on the exact copy, fail-closed automated QA on the final file, then publication. An edition with no verified stories does not publish.
- Verdicts describe checks performed at research/render time, not current truth; `corrected=true` means a post-publication correction exists.
- Attribution: editions carry AI-generated narration and a fictional AI presenter, declared in platform post copy and, when signing succeeds, in the C2PA manifest.
